By St Helens Dog from Seattle, WA on 06/18/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Feels smaller than the rest of my hikers. I have put approximately 50 miles on these boots and they still feel uncomfortable after the first few minutes. The ball of my foot hurts and it feels almost like I'm continually leening forward to compensate. I have not had this problem with any other hikers. I think there are better choices.
By Hypo from Elk River,Minnesota on 06/13/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear 12, reading reviews I read people found sizing 1/2 to big and 1/2 size to small. I ordered 12 1/2 hopeing to hit it right on. These were a full size off. This size was a full size small (11 1/2) I'm trying to find a freind that could use them for returning is getting to be the norm rather than the exception. I'd like to have some kind of euro sizeing for they seem to have it right. Nice Boots though.
By brewk from Morgan, Utah on 06/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Fast Dry, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Ventilation Cons: Very Stiff Ankle Cuff Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a BIG fan of Montrail shoes, and I use a variety of light weight hikers and trail runners of this brand. VERY Stable shoes. I haven't found a more stable trail shoe brand. A couple of things to take note of with THIS shoe. First; part of the reason they work so well for me is that I have narrow to med width feet. 2nd; I'm not sure if they run 1/2 size to a full size small, but I can tell you that they definitely FIT small, and I think part of that is due to the stiff, forward canted ankle cuff. I finally had to use Superfeet Blue insoles to keep my heel locked into the back of the shoe and give my toes a little more wiggle room. The stiff sole and ankle cuff provide a lot of confidence for those of you who love to hike but have weak ankles. I confess it took me a while to warm up to these, but now that I've had a chance to break them in, I love them. Jury is still out on the durability, but if it's consistent with my past Montrails it should be fine. They are very lightweight, airy, quick drying shoes, and I don't have any reservations about wading or river crossing in them, in fact, that's one of the great advantages! Another great Montrail shoe!
Great fit, good for everyday and outdoor By The OMF from Fountain Inn, SC on 06/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the third pair of Montrail shoes I have bought and I hope they will be every bit as good as the first two pairs. I have found them to be great for everyday use and fantastic for my outdoor adventures. I still have and use my original pair that are over 4 years old. Most other running shoes I have tried do not last more then a few months before the sole either wares off or separates.

By Buffalo_Bob from Kent, WA on 05/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Cons: Not Water Resistant, Order full-size up Best Uses: Around town, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: WOW...fits like a glove, with great ankle support!
You may get away with a half-size small, but I use arch supports and a full-size large is just right - with a skosh more toe room.

Great summer boot but order 1 size up By Spider from Johnson City, TN on 05/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great ventalation, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a good looking, comfortable, light weight, summer boot at a good price. Ventalation is excellent. However it is a full size too small, I gave the 10.5 to my Dad who wears 9.5 and he had no room to spare.
