By Hunter in SC from Charleston, SC on 10/23/2009 Pros: Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Cons: Sheath, Uncomfortable Grip Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Day Trips, Hunting, Survival Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the knife. Not practical for skinning anything, but great for knocking down limbs or such. The handle is too thin for my hands. Not a true tactical knife, but great for hooking onto my backpack as I hike to my stand through the swamp.

By alpineclimb from Sierra foothills on 09/26/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Campgrounds, Road Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very well-made knife for the price. It is thick and heavy, so keep that in mind if packing - it may actually weigh a pound. Arrived sharp, especially considering the blade thickness. Blade is sharpened on one side only. Handle is a bit more comfortable than it looks, though would probaby be best with gloves. Best suited for rough cuts or chopping duty, rather than anything resembling precision slicing. Should last a very long time.
