By Hike in Nepal from NYC on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Lightweight Cons: Hard to get stuff out Best Uses: Day Hikes, Light Loads, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a good bag but I bought two Gregory Z30 backpacks for me and my sister last year.
Two weeks after I started my trek (Nepal) the strap on one of the bags was torn.
Three month after that- the metal pole of the other bag broke. I bought it again cause it is very comfortable and I believe it is a coincidence that those things happened. Hope I am right.
Very Comfortable Day Pack By rebma from Truckee,CA on 10/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Large Capacity Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got this pack becuase I hike a lot with my 2 dogs and need to carry lots of water for them and me. My regular daypack killed my shoulders and neck with all that dead weight. I carried a 100 OZ Camelback and 4 one liter Nalgenes plus fleece, windbreaker and food for about 10 miles. Pack was super comfy and still had tons of room. My back did not sweat at all, shoulders and back felt like I didn't carry anything the next day. So good I bought one for my wife. I'm 6-1 and thin and a medium fits perfect.
