By Michael from Houston on 11/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These guys know how to put everything you need in one jacket. Zippers are sealed, pockets are easily accessible. Light but protective, with enough room to layer for warmth. Came with a loose draw string, but Sierra replaced it without argument. Haven't bought anything from Mountain Hardware that I wouldn't buy again.

Very comfortable and will keep you dry in a downpoor. Pretty lightweight and reasonably breathable. Pockets in the right places and very big pit zips for increased ventilation. Great for layering.

It's totally waterproof and very breathable, also wind resisted. The pit zip is very functional when getting hot. I really love this jacket!
Great Weatherproof Jacket By Orion from South Sound, WA on 10/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Extreme Conditions, Mountaineering, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm 5'9'', 145lb, and ordered a Med, which is just right for my intended use with a base and mid-layer (in colder weather). If I was sticking to warmer climes, and was going for a slimmer fit, the Sm would have worked. Adjustable hood fits helmet well, and sleeves are proportioned to allow for overhead/climbing activities. Proved to be lightweight, packable, and weatherproof on a recent extended trip to Yosemite. Well worth the unbelievable deal I got here at STP.
By Rainman from New York on 10/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great style and color. I took it for test run on wet raw day and with only a sweater and fleece under the Gortex shell it held up completely not a drop got through. Only gripe, the sleeves are a bit too long and no good way to adjust them.
By Fly_Fishing_OR from Corvallis, OR on 10/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Fishing in downpours, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I normally wear a small size t-shirt, so I decided I would get a medium size in this jacket, so I could leave some room to wear a few layers of clothing underneath. The jacket is a bit big for me, but when I wear a hoodie underneath, its about right. The sleeves are a bit long (I am about 5'8" and reasonably skinny), so if you're looking for a snug fit and you're around this size, then go with the small. Other than that, this jacket is freaking amazing. The first day I got it, I wore it out fishing in a cold downpour. It held up beautifully, keeping me bone dry. It really was amazing how breathable this jacket is. Plenty of pockets, and pit zips for more ventilation. The hood adjusts to exactly how you want it to feel, and keeps the rain out of your face. This is a great buy, especially if you use a 30% off coupon!
Great gear at a great price By kevin from roanoke va on 10/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket was an excellent purchase. I found it for almost half off at sierra vs other online vendors. I love the jacket, although the sleeves are oddly a bit long, even though I usually like a longer sleeve length. I would definitely recommend this jacket.
