By Garry J from Tegucigalpa, Honduras on 11/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes fit pretty well, are very light weight, comfortable, breathable, and they have great traction. The part covering the toes is a mesh, so water is a problem, but for everything else, they're great!
Solid shoe, but stability is a concern By Dirt Runner from Carlsbad, CA on 11/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe feels comfortable thus far, but the heel is pretty narrow, making me concerned about the stability. I moved from the Salomon XT Wings to try La Sportiva because the Salomons are soft and break down very quickly. But at least the Salomons have a broader base in the heel, making the shoe feel more stable. I never fell off the sides of those, and I have rolled the La Sportivas a bit.

By HillHucker from Fayetteville, AR on 11/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Preventing ankle injuries, Stable Cons: Not Water Resistant, Slippery on clay hardpack Best Uses: Day hikes, Trail running Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The lynx fits true to sportiva sizing. It might be a little small compared to other brands. Awesome traction on trail. Can be slippery on clay hard-pack though or breaking them in around town. The toe bed is just a hair narrower then i would like but it's not that noticeable. Fit, comfort, and support are great even with stock insoles. Makes you wanna go tear up some trails.
By Trail Boss from Santa Fe, NM on 10/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Cons: Sole Wears Out Quickly Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: You see those bright little yellow outsole studs? They peel off quickly, leaving the softer black outsole to prematurely wear out. I've gone through many trail shoes, and I love the design and fit, but the life of this shoe is shorter than a gnat's. You've been warned.
