By I'd rather paddle from ohio on 11/13/2009 Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They are fine in the kayak. All those straps provided great ankle support when I had to scramble cross country during a kayaking snafu. Round down if you wear a half size.
By Riverrat from Huntsville, Alabama on 11/09/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Boating, Water Sports Describe Yourself: Advanced User Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Although slightly hard to get on the feet with all of the extra straps and adjustments on, they are VERY comfy, and you can customize the fit on your foot. I think they were a terrific investment.
I'll trade out the extra difficulty getting them on for the perfect fit once they are on. It's a worthwile trade off.
By EJ from New England on 11/09/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Recreational User Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Use these for whitewater paddling. Good compromise between not being too bulky and having decent foot protection and traction for portaging. They are very secure on your feet. The straps are way over the top. I cut the top one off.
By greenscales from Carlsbad, CA on 11/05/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Lightweight Cons: Difficult to Adjust, Needs half sizes Describe Yourself: Advanced User Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a 10 1/2 narrow, so I went with a 10 since others said they ran large. I think they run true, becuase my toes have no extra room on the 10. But because of all the extensive adjustments allowing me to narrow the fit (albeit difficult to work with), I think the 11 would have been better. I have worn them around and they grip the fhe ground and contour to the foot well, but I don't know how warm they will be yet.
By Neo from Far Far, Away on 11/01/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Good Ventilation, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Recreational User Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great booties. We shall use for recreational snorkeling, beats many of the quarter length water shoes for comfort and protection.
By TJ from Riverside, CA on 10/27/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable Cons: Hard to get foot into Best Uses: Boating, Kayaking, Water Sports Describe Yourself: Recreational User Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Once adjusted right these shoes keep the water out and your feet dry. Work great on cold days and water.
By Kayaking Bill from Baltimore, MD on 10/26/2009 Describe Yourself: Recreational User Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just got these shoes this evening and was completely surprised when I put them on. I have tried on several pairs of other shoes at various stores such as REI and none were very comfortable. So I expected these to be bearable but not very inviting. These shoes are great. VERY comfortable and very cushioned on the bottom. Thinking of buying a second pair.
Difficult to put on, but great fit. By jkwhite7 from Thompsons Station, TN on 10/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Boarding, Boating, Canyoning, Water Sports Describe Yourself: Recreational User Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these shoes for whitewater kayaking. I have wide feet, and these shoes fit perfectly, and are very comfortable. These are the most difficult shoes to put on, so I recommend a shoe horn. Once on, you will have happy feet!
This is a good boot for kayaking. By Kayaker from Derwood MD on 10/21/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: A little difficult to get Best Uses: Boating, Water Sports Describe Yourself: Advanced User Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very adjustable, sticky rubber takes a minute to get on and off.
Comfortable - adjustable - warm. By RXX Rider from Roanoke, VA on 10/20/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Boarding, Boating, Jetski, Water Sports Describe Yourself: Advanced User Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Easy to adjust for perfect fit, comfortable over uneven terrain, warm enough for Fall and Spring (maybe even a winter ride or two) in VA. Great grip for jetskiing, stay put on my feet where similar shoes squirm out of place.
