By gymgoer from SLC, UT on 03/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I've worn nothing but New Balance shoes to the gym for about five years now, and this is the first pair that I've felt haven't been supportive enough. I work out pretty hard and partway through a couple of classes wearing these shoes my arches have started to cramp. I'll probably buy some inserts for them, but that will double their cost, making them not such a great buy after all. All other aspects of the shoe seem up to standard.

Decent, but not great support By S from Lowell, MA on 07/10/2008 Cons: No cushioning, No support Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these shoes for working out in the gym. I found them to be a good fit, but there is not much cushioning or support. I would not recommend them to someone who needs either of these features.

They are that good. They offer perfect support throughout some tough moves and they are reserved for the hard stuff.
