Easy to zip on and off.
Good protection from thistles, wild roses, mosquitoes and sticker burrs when transversing islands.
Good sun protection. Quicker drying than cotton.

I bought these for my husband to use for mowing the yard,as the summers get might hot here in OK and he hates shorts and will get sunburned legs. He usually wears jeans, which makes me hot, just watching.
After his first time wearing them, he came in and asked if they came in other colors, so I ordered another in the grey..
