By Jim from Milwaukee, WI on 09/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Packable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The nice thing about this version of a convertible pant is the material. It is like a medium weight duck cloth instead of the usual nylon, so it is a bit more casual than sporty/rugged. Not being bulky, it is more form-fitting. I plan to wear these versatile slacks on a fall colors cruise along the New England/Canadian coast, where one has to pack jusiciously and it will be too cold for shorts in the mornings and evenings.

Sportif USA Sahara Convertible Pants (Fo By Tim from Maryland on 09/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this product because it is made with cotton and not nylon. Nylon has sopme advantages but is too clingy and hot when exercising. A blend of cotton and synthetic works well. My size and color is often hard to find at Sierra.

By SF from North Carolina on 08/04/2009 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use pants like this for flyfishing. They were a bit too heavy to be used that way.
By trumpetboy from Des Moines, IA on 07/26/2009 Cons: Poor Material or Construction Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: If you're like me, you consider your clothing an important part of the equipment that you take on any excursion. The minimum criteria for equipment are reliability. These pants are not. On a recent trip to San Francisco I packed this single pair of zip legs to be used for day hiking. An hour into the first wear, the fly zipper failed rendering the pants useless, as well as leaving me with a major equipment debacle. The zippers are poorly constructed. They break during first wear leaving you with heavy weight canvas to haul around so that you can return them. If your like me, you consider your clothing an important part of the equipment
