their cotton and their great!!! By JIMBOB from ashland or on 03/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been looking for pants like this for awhile. Wish I had found them before my trip to Chiapas, Mx. a couple of months ago. I really dislike synthetic clothing whether they are wicking and breathable or not. They look good and feel good. I do wish they had a buttons instead of a zipper in the front and also wish they had buttons instead of velcro for the side and back pockets.

By Matt M from Dallas, TX on 03/03/2009 Cons: Poor Fit, Poor Material or Construction Best Uses: Camping, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was expecting a more high performance pant. The canvas fabric seems to bind decreasing mobility when climbing stairs. I didn't like the location of the back pocket - my wallet would always rest in a bad spot under my leg when sitting. The zipper for the pants is too bulky and adds to discomfort when sitting. My ideal pant size is 32" waist and 33" inseam. These felt too big in the waist and too small in the length.
By jv from San Juan Capistrano on 02/17/2009 Cons: Poor Material or Construction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Yeah, I was pretty disappointed in the material quality and finish.

By Vermont Refugee from Front Range Colorado on 02/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the pants (I needed them because I broke a leg and the pants work fine over the cast), but they cover a real need for a variable climate like Colorado's. I have another pair (differnt manufacturer) in which the zip off isn't as easy to re-engage. The key to making a zip off pant is that it should be quicker to add legs than to duck behind a bush, and these are well made to boot.
