By Gonna Roam from Santa Cruz, CA on 03/11/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a useful item - well constructed and for a change NOT MADE IN CHINA. The color is bit weird and that is my only complaint. The sizing does run big but I need a loose fit in a very hot climate.
A good choice for the trail. By Linda the hiker from Chicago, IL on 01/06/2008 Pros: Breathable, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used them on my recent trip to Bhutan. Being able to zip the legs on an off was a big help as we visited a lot of temples where shorts were not allowed. Our guides suggested tucking the bottoms into our socks so it was a quick fix when we needed legs.
Shorts and pants all in one! By SueMoe from MN on 12/19/2007 Pros: Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The waist felt a little big, but it has elastic and that's a good thing if you want to layer or your size fluctuates. These are a great product for the price. Not exactly high fashion, but that's not what you need when you're traveling/hiking.

Relatively quick wash and dry - good for a long trip.
By The German Hiker Girl from New Mexico on 12/05/2007 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants run a little on the large size, so you want to order a size smaller. I'm 5'11" and the length was great. The nylon fabric is light, moves nicely and perfect for my hiking trips. The legs zip off and on easily. Very well made; great value for the money, as convertible pants can be pricey.
By Stella from Rockford, IL on 09/21/2007 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As stated, these run a size too big, so if you are a size 6, order a size 4. The length is long also, but there is only one length to get. Otherwise, they feel really soft and are very comfortable.
Versitle, comfortable and light weight By Daisy from Newburgh, NY on 09/16/2007 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Cold Weather, Sailing foul weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational, Sailor Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: great lightweight piece of clothing that can double nicely as warm weather foul weather gear. My sailing clothes for offshore foul weather are much heavier, but these did nicely this season in warm weather as a reasonable substitute for my usual "foulies". The length was a little long, and I am 5'7" so I did have to roll up the legs to keep from stepping on them, but that was the only drawback

I would recommend to others.
comfortable, but not the best quality By CraftyKette from Binghamton NY on 09/12/2007 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Chafes, Poor quality stitching, Saggy in the butt Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I've returned these pants once to try to find a better fit, but the butt is still too big for the size. Also, on my first hike, the stitching came undone on the calves. It wasn't that rough out, some mud and some woods, but if my pants can't take it, they're worthless.
On the other hand, my BF loves his men's pair.
