Carhartts fit a little small in waist generally... so its not that they are different than any other Carhartt out there, just my general observation.

The black ones fit great, don't shrink, and haven't lost any color in a cold wash after 3 washings. I never got the dark khaki, they came as heavy blue jeans. Those were sold to a friend, and I won't shop on here for a while because of it.
