Comments:
needed a thicker leather collar of higher quality, may be even a heaver coarser grade of canvas, really. Very nice tan and brown maybe some more colors to add then i would buy another. Availability needs to be in sporting goods stores, Dickssportinggoods , Sports authority, etc,etc . That would be smart

I recomend this Coat
By BogieVerified Reviewer from Lancaster, Ca. on 01/12/2009
Pros:
Breathable, Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof
Cons:
Needs to have draw string
Best Uses:
Bird Hunting
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Hunter
Sizing:
Feels full size too big
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The reason for the draw string would be to close of the bottom yo keep out a cold wind. The coat it self is warm and will stand up for many years of service.

Columbia Allegheny Upland Coat
By Big Daddy from Aliquippa Pennsylvania on 12/20/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Great sale price, Stylish
Cons:
45-50 degree range, Not Water Resistant
Best Uses:
Antiquing in vermont, Casual Wear
Describe Yourself:
Experienced Hunter
Sizing:
Feels full size too big
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Great as casual wear, but not for serious hunting. Shell is a loose woven cotton canvas that would shred in the mildest of briars. Gamepouch unlined and shallow pocketes that can hardley keep a set of car keys in during a mild hop. Wear this in or around town and you'll do fine

I liked the design of this coat to keep the wind off my back and be large enough to wear layers in cold weather. It does both very well.

fashion, not field
By mmVerified Reviewer from Southwest US on 07/29/2008
Pros:
Warm
Cons:
No Ammo Storage, Not Water Resistant , Poor Styling
Best Uses:
Cold Climate
Describe Yourself:
Experienced Hunter
Sizing:
Feels half size too big
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Not a coat meant for actual field use. Quite heavy and warm, I think you would overheat pretty quickly in all but the coldest conditions. More importantly, the game bag in back does not have a waterproof liner, the weave of the canvas is not fine enough to repel water well, and the elastic on the inner cuffs pull at your arms and drag your sleeves back as you try to shoulder a gun. Should be fine for casual wear.
