By mountain girl from Georgetown, CA on 09/30/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: i hated this dress- I didn't realize that it had shoulder pads-yuck. It looks like a funeral dress on me and not my style.
By Julie from New Hampshire on 09/29/2009 Pros: Beautiful lining, Nice Fabric Cons: Poor Fit, Too much cleavage Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Such a disappointment as the lines were flattering and fabric was lovely and beautifully lined. The cleavage was so low, "they" were literally falling out -- and I tried two sizes -- 12 and 14. The dress otherwise fit nicely. Returned both.
Better on the hanger than on the body By SG from Pennsylvania on 09/17/2009 Best Uses: Night Out, Special Occasions Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had high hopes for this dress. After reading others' comments I figured that although I am a size 4 or 6, the size 8 would fit. It did, but it was remarkably unflattering. Although I am thin, it actually made me look fat and busty! The neckline is VERY low. It also has a sort of 50's retro look. A most peculiar cut.

By Flatwater kayaker from St. Charles, MO on 02/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable fit, Elegant Design, Morale booster, Very flattering Best Uses: Holiday wear, Night Out, Wear to sevices Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I think the picture does not do this dress justice. The reviewer who stated the dress was great for small chested women was right on the mark. A real morale booster. I put this dress on and felt like a million bucks. Very flattering neckline reminiscent of the 40's and the fabric drapes like a dream.
By Party Girl from Los Angeles, CA on 01/25/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Nice Fabric, Versatile, Wrinkle Resistant Best Uses: Special Occasions Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My figure type (small top, larger bottom) was enhanced by this dress. I went to a party and danced with my husband and it really got great reviews from my friends and felt fabulous the whole night. I had actually bought another dress, thinking this one might not work out, but when I took it out of its package and tried it on I immediately returned the other. I'm glad I read the reviews, which said large busts were not accommodated but that my figure type was. Great!

By duckie from Santa Rosa, CA on 11/26/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Nice Fabric, Versatile, Wrinkle Resistant Best Uses: Going Out, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As a performing musician, I seek semi-formal wardrobe basics (in black). Must have slightly shorter than wrist-length sleeves that are not too tight or too loose, freedom at the waistline, modest skirt length, modest neckline. I ordered one size larger than usual to accommodate my bustiness, and I got it right! The exposure of cleavage is a little too revealing for some performances, so I can easily make a sheer black removable insert myself, which will add interest and solve the problem.
