By camille from columbia, SC on 08/15/2009 Cons: Cheap Fabric, Thin Fabric Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The fabric isn't your mamma's seersucker.
Well Construction, Classic details By Belladona30c from San Diego, CA on 04/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was glad to come across this dress to add to my spring/summer wardrobe. Although an A-line cut would have made it "perfect", it fits well. The fabric is comfortable and should wear well. Once paired with cute sandals and accessories, it will no longer have a "uniform" look (as mentioned by another reviewer). Good deal for a simple, classic dress.
By Momof2boys from Marietta, GA on 04/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Nice Color Cons: Cheap Fabric, Poor Fit, Thin Fabric Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This was cut for ladies with a stick figure! There's no room for busts or hips. This works great for some people, but not for me. Also, the fabric felt very thin; I would have kept if it fit, but I don't think it would have ever been one of my favorites.
By ckf from atlanta, ga on 03/20/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Nice Color, Nice Fabric Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It is simply too small for its size. It would have been very helpful to have the sizing on the dress before I bought it. It doesn't fit. I wish it did.
By Bluebell from Brookfield, IL on 02/17/2009 Pros: Nice Fabric, Wrinkle Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I look forward to wearing this dress to work on hot and humid summer days.
nice style, but you HAVE to iron By Cheapo from Tampa, Florida on 01/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Flattering Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: At least this dress has some fit. Another Orvis dress I got at the same time was a straight sack. The elastic waist is neat looking. I have a 38 bust and small waist so it was nice to have a waist that adjusted to my size.
By AZ from Northampton, MA on 07/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Wrinkle Resistant Best Uses: Comfort-Oriented Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This dress is as advertised. It is understated. There is nothing exciting about it. It is, however, a nice everyday dress, the sort of dress that women wore before slacks became so popular. Its best feature is that it is so wrinkle-resistant.
By KM from San Luis Obispo, CA on 06/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, High Quality, Wrinkle Resistant Best Uses: To School, To Work, Traveling Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Classic, Sensible Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Easy wash and dry with minumum wrinkles will work well for traveling.
By R from LA, CA on 06/06/2008 Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The fabric is kinda thin and cheap. Not blueish as the picture shows.
By Maven from Minneapolis, MN on 06/04/2008 Pros: Durable, Versatile, Wrinkle Resistant Best Uses: Comfort-Oriented, On The Weekend, To School, To Work Describe Yourself: Casual, Eclectic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I sent this back because the cut wasn't what I was expecting--it's essentially straight up and down, and I was looking for something a bit more a-line, with more waist definition and room at the hips. It also looked much more like a uniform in person than I was expecting.
