By recoveringhippie from south jersey on 04/02/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual, Outdoorsy Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I find my size is between a 4-6 depending on the manufacturer. I found this dress is very tight and small. The zipper catches at the waist. The waist is also high. The dress would be perfect if it fit.
By MM from Roanoke, VA on 04/01/2008 Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The cut of the dress isn't for women with large busts. My large-ish bust can't be zipped into it at all, and someone with even a moderate size bust may find the dress neckline to be more than a little plunging. If you're a little less curvy, this could be an adorable dress that adds curves!
Also, the dress is sheerer than I had imagined. I think a slip underneath will show.
By 40's Dresser from South Carolina on 03/31/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Lovely Fabric Cons: Poor Fit, sized way too small Best Uses: On a Date, On The Weekend Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Classic, Eclectic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a size 10, reliably. This dress was so much smaller than the size 10 I was wondering if it was actually a size 6! I had my youngest child help me pull it off over my head. Sent it back and am awaiting the exchange for a size 12. Would recommend it but with the advice to get a full size bigger than usual.
Great summer dress, cotton comfortable By Brahmaw from Brookville, PA on 03/27/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering Cons: Sizes run very small., Wrinkles Easily Best Uses: Casual Work Days, Comfort-Oriented, On The Weekend Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Classic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This dress runs very small. I usually wear a size six. I ordered an eight, now I have to pay return postage because I have to send it back for a size ten. I only weigh 127 lbs. It's also very low cut. OK for a date, but it needs a camisole for other occasions.
By Danielle the mom from Wasilla, Alaska on 03/25/2008 Best Uses: On a Date, Special Occasions Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Modest Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was very disappointed since the dress was too small. Even if I had found the dress in the larger size there was way too much cleavage shown. My bra could be seen and that is a definate "not appropriate" for me. I could not move my arms in the shoulders very well either. I realize this is because the size was too small, but I did not want to chance it with the next size up and have to mail it back again. Very sad. It is a true 50's dress!
By Peggy from Saginaw, MI on 03/19/2008 Best Uses: Casual Work Days, On The Weekend, To Work Describe Yourself: Career, Eclectic Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This dress is well made and the fabric is attractive but it is much, much smaller than described. It is about 38" long, not the 47" stated. Also, it is a very narrow cut with a very short waist. I think that the "12" I received was actually about an 8 petite.
