By Up Nort from Northern MN on 12/29/2008 Pros: Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These are solid boots. However, they are a bit like walking in ski boots. Very little flexiblity in the ankles. Perhaps they will loosen up with use.

Love the boot work them very hard. By Bushman from Armstrong / Nakina Ontario Canada on 12/14/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Professional Guide Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work in the bush and use then very hard. This is the second pair I've had. Last years boots cracked at the toe flex point this fall. The rest of the boot is starting to show more cracks and wear. However, they are the best hiking boot I've ever had. To get more than one year out of any of my gear is asking a lot. For the average user they should provide many years of use. For the price I don't think you could find a better boot. I've found that if your standing around in weather below -25C your toes start to get cold. I used them in -40C but you have to be moving. Buy a 1/2 size up to allow more air warmth, you will not even notice the size difference. I recommend this boot with 17 years of outdoor work experience behind me. I will keep buying them as long as they make them.
By Lo from Madison, Wisconsin on 12/10/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great boots! Very warm, very durable. They can stand any type of terrain. They do rub my calf a little bit, so wear long underwear or calf-length socks with them if you'll be walking a good distance
Quality at a great price! By Bob who loves winter from Madison, NH on 12/10/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Value, Gripping sole, High Quality, Warm, Water protection Cons: Not great for driving, Require breakin Best Uses: Winter ATV riding, Winter Outdoor Activities Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As with all Columbia products I have purchased they deliver on their promises. The boots look great, fit great(same as my shoe size), and although I have not used them to their rated -65 degrees, I have had them out for over 8 hours in wet 10-15 degree temps and my feet stayed warm and dry the whole time. They will be great for keeping my feet warm and dry when operating my snow blower or while taking a winter hike. May be a bit too stiff for snow shoeing.
Now I hope there is lots of snow By Deek from Aberdeen, Scotland on 12/06/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will using these boots in moderate snow conditions in Scotland and when I go to work in north of Kazakhstan where the winter conditions are far more extreme. I have yet to take them to the limit.

By Go Brown from Ohio on 12/04/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great boots, they are warm, waterproof and perform like they say. I work in the outdoors and in the winter months these are perfect. The only con is these are pretty high boots and not a lot of flexibility. Overall awesome product at an awesome price.
