I believe the liner is the cause as the outer fabric is stretchy and would probably work fine in the chest area. If you have a large bust, you may want to pass.

It was also too sheer. Even with the lining you could see underwear beneath it. Had to return it.

The material allows the dress to hang in a very flattering way. I love the length, the V-neck shaping, and thickness of the straps (I always prefer to wear a bra). I'm not sure if this dress is cut for someone medium/tall, but since I'm on the slightly petite side, the straps run slightly too long for me, so I'm going to have them taken up a bit, otherwise they'll fall off my shoulders. And, if I feel like being more modest, I'm going to throw this on over a black tank top. This is the kind of dress I'll be able to wear this on many occasions!

While I wear an XL and am full-busted, the lining and cut of the dress do not require special underpinnings. Shrugs and wraps complete the look for chilly evenings.
