However, I purchased anyway because it fits me well ( something that is hard to do) and it is flattering. It is also comfortable. I like to be stylish but will not give up comfort. I received many compliments when I wore it.

I'm very top-heavy and it's difficult getting a dress to fit. I'm glad to say this is great for a curvy figure. It's right-on if you're a big-jewelry bold gal. The base color is a muted black...but it looks great with suede heels. I even wore it to church once.
Not too keen on the fabric By Jill J from Marin County, CA on 05/28/2008 Cons: Coarse polyester fabric Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted to like it and thought it would be my favorite of the dresses I ordered. It was my least favorite. The color says "black", but it really is a dark brown (as it looks in the photos, too). The fabric is that thick, coarse polyester knit, not the thin, smooth slick polyester I was expecting. However, it does seem well-made, is fully lined, and is comfortable.
