It is tight quarters, but that is to be expected in a light solo tent. Dose all that it supposed to do.

Comments:
I bought this tent for solo backpacking trips in the Sierras (mostly for bugs and thundershowers). I'm 6'4" tall and have enough room for me and minimal gear (pack stays outside, but then I use an external frame pack). It is very light for one person (I replaced the stakes with titanium stakes to cut even more weight). I use a piece of tyvek under the tent to help protect the floor. All in all I got a great deal on this tent and think it will serve me well for solo trips or my son who is in Scouts.

Nice tent. no complaints here. i was torn because it was not freestanding, but it was so easy to set up. Sturdy. no condensation on a couple of cool north east rainy nights. Light. small. good deal all around.

Appalachian Trail Bound!!!
By Hiker MikeVerified Reviewer from Virginia Beach, VA on 04/21/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy to set up, Lightweight
Cons:
Small vestibule
Best Uses:
Backpacking, Hiking

Avid Adventurer
What Is Your Gear Style:
Minimalist
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Haven't used on a hike yet but I set it up in a couple of minutes (without reading the directions) with no problem. The vestibule is a bit small to keep a pack dry. I'm 5'6" and have plenty of room to stretch out. I am a mosquito magnet so I like a full tent instead of a tarp. Can't beat the weight for a tent. My only concern is the ventilation when the fly is installed.

Comments:
Very good quality I have come to expect from SD. Easy to set up, even in limited visibility conditions. Packs down small and light. Only downside is limited room for large individual. I guess that's the trade-off for light weight small package.
