By Likes to eat; must workout 3-4X a week from Los Angeles, CA on 08/10/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Office, Travel Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought two to see if all the comments were true. I couldn't be more happy after trying them on. The fit was great. I am 46, and in good athletic shape (hips, butt, legs, and core). Intend to buy more.
By Gigi-07 from Houston, TX on 08/09/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Quality Material, Versatile Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These jeans are better than I expected they'd be. Although, they did fit a bit snuggly (which is why I found them to be uncomfortable). The wash looks great, and the length is perfect. I can wear these with any tee and nice heels when I go to the mall or a party.
Probably not for the curvy girls By Middle-ager from Smokey Mountains, NC on 08/05/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Quality Material, Wrinkle Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual, Middle-age athletic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The NOX jeans fit like a slim-fit junior sized pant; narrow through the thigh and butt, sits a bit low on the waist (definitely not a mid-rise pant!). I ordered a size 6 instead of my regular Royal Robbins size 4. My guess is that ordering a size up is causing the waist to gap at the back (thigh fits like a 4, waist fits like a 6---makes sense to me). As a slim, sort of boyish framed middle ager (50), I thought the fit was acceptable and kept both pairs. Have already laundered and worn them, no complaints. LOVE the fabric!
For me... small thighs, big waist. By Sarah's Happy Mommy from Atoka, TN on 08/05/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have some Royal Robbins shorts that have lasted me a decade, so I was excited about finding their jeans for such a bargain price. I think I remember reading to order a size up, so I did. They were still too small in the hips and thighs and too big in the waist. For someone with a less curvy body proportion they would probably be great. They were very nice looking and I was sorry they didn't fit.
By DownyDuck from North Carolina on 08/04/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Quality Material Describe Yourself: Casual, Classic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are definitely SLIM jeans. I was able to wear my normal size, but I am narrow hipped and have thin legs. If you read the other reviews you will find that this is the case in all of the positive reviews. I Love these jeans, just wish they were a little higher on the waist.
By IsItHotInHereOrIsItMe from Gainesvile, FL on 08/04/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are lovely jeans in a soft, cool, wicking fabric with great details. Only problem is they are VERY small. I ordered a full size larger than I normally wear and they are still too tight. Otherwise, they look nice and are well made. I would recommend ordering 2 sizes up. Also, the description says they have Lycra in them but the content tag only says polyester and cotton.
Probably not for the curvy girls.... By Over 50 and loving it! from Smokey Mountains, NC on 07/31/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Quality Material, Wrinkle Resistant Best Uses: Boating, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Outdoorsy, Water oriented Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Took advice of other shoppers & ordered a 6 instead of my usual 4 in Royal Robbins stuff. I have a long-legged, slim frame with nominal lower half curves so, based on other reviews, thought these jeans would probably be perfect for me. However, being over 50, I was concerned about the waist being too low. THESE JEANS FIT ME PERFECT! Length is great, waist band is rather gapping in back but acceptable, thigh fits me really well, and no they are not too low on my waist line. Got both pairs, love them both.
By girl in Virginia from Elberon, VA on 07/26/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Trendy Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: absolutely great price for this jean. I ordered 2 more. Glad I took advice from others and ordered one size bigger. These have become my new favorite pair. They feel good from first getting them.
Not the most comfortable pair of jeans By GG from Woodruff SC on 07/22/2008 Cons: not true to size, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Eclectic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered a 6 because I wear a 4 in Royal Robbins skirts. The 6 did not work so I tried an 8 but that still did not work. Not sure why there is such a size difference in the two products. I will not try their jeans again.
Beware of odd sizing--Thighs too tight. By xyz123 from Florida on 07/18/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable Materials, Durable, Quality Material, Wrinkle Resistant Cons: Thighs too tight, waist too big Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Having to return these. They are adorable jeans, but they just don't fit well. They are too tight through the upper leg/thigh area and too big in the waist. Buy these jeans only if you have really thin upper legs.
