Beautiful Coat Incredible Price By stan the man from Portland, OR on 05/18/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Going Out, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is one incredible top coat at a very excellent price. The cashmere fabric has a beautiful sheen. The fit is a bit boxy (Normal American Fit). I recommend that one purchase the next size down as recomended by other reviewers and it worked out very well.
By FlyerHiker from Incline Village, NV on 05/04/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Hoped that I'd like the coat, especially since it was discounted substantially. I ordered the smaller size that others recommended (38 vs. 40 normally for me.) The cut that others describe as square I didn't like. When comparing this coat to another cashmere coat that I bought for my girlfriend (from Sierra Trading Post), the fabric isn't as black, isn't finished as nice, and has a worn look to the fabric. The stitching in the shoulder lining area is visible from the outside and it just doesn't look high-end to me. I'm returning the coat and hoping to find something better next year.
obvious knock-off. sierra should know b By the wife who buys for husband from seattle on 02/12/2009 Cons: Not Warm, Poor quality stitching, Tacky lining Best Uses: A mild day in a suit Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: the coat is so lightweight the shipping box is flatter than expected and very light. do not buy if you are expecting cashmere warmth. the hand stitching in the lining is off color and amateur. the coat is not fully lined. it has lined zones which look weird. It looks nice but not classic. a very obvious knock off but the labels will impress. do get a size smaller than ususal.
By CH2O6dad from Seattle, Wa on 02/12/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased after looking at multiple similar coats at Nordy's, etc. Deal of a price for 100% cashmere, though the cashmere is not the best quality. Coat does run big, purchased a size down and it fits well. It is more lightweight, which i like, as i wear it over a suit or sweater most of the time.
By Tom from Boonton Twp, NJ on 01/26/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The deal looked to good to be true, but I took a chance. Turned out even better than I'd hoped.
Nice fabric and construction, boxy cut By Lee from Nashville, TN on 01/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The fabric is softer than most wool, but not as soft as a cashmere sweater or scarf. The cut is cylindrical, there is no waist taper or belt, so you may need some tailoring if you prefer a more fitted look. While the coat is larger than a suit or sport coat of the same size, most overcoats are designed to fit over a suit or sport coat and I did not think it excessive; however, if you prefer a close fit you may want to buy one size down. Overall, a nice garment and real bargain.

By Mike the Gator from Orlando, FL on 01/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut Best Uses: Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you follow the other comments, ordering one size smaller does the best fit. I did and it looks and feels as if it was custom tailored for me. Fabric is excellent, great hand. If you haven't figured it out by now, I REALLY like it.
Nice, but it ain't Hart Schaffner & Marx By OpW from Middle USA on 01/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The discounts make this worthwhile. The fabric is nice and construction acceptable. But, as noted, this is NOT a Hart Schaffner & Marx product. The labels have been switched, and it is obvious that a previous inner label has been removed. The HSM label is poorly sewn on, which adds insult. While it would be better to have been honest with the actual label, the coat is nice enough to keep. As also noted, it is generously sized. Even over a suit jacket, I am pleased to have sized down one. As long as (and only if) you double-up on the discounts, this coat is a good buy. With those caveats, it is recommended.
