Great comfy do it all pants! By Busted Yuppie from Washington State on 12/06/2008 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Packable, Sturdy Cons: All cotton-wrinkles, Bulky Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the original High Roc pants at the Columbia Outlet store in Portland, OR. I loved them so much I tried to find another pair and finally STP has them, on sale too. These are like the originals in that they are heavy cotton fabric, not lightweight* as described. They wear well in the cooler seasons, travel well and are for all around sturdy use.
(*If you want lighter fabric in this same style/fit of pant, get the High ROC II pants, which are a really cool, lightweight cotton/nylon blend. The High ROC II's are GREAT for travel to tropical or warmer climates. I know I digress, but I got my II's at STP as well.)

By Jim from Seattle, WA on 08/13/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Description indicated size L was for a waste of 36 to 39 inches. I wear a 38 inch waste and these were extremely tight (probably maxed at 36 inch). Too bad, because I think I would have like these otherwise.

They are comfortable and well worth the money.
I have a couple pair of these pants that are 4 years old and other than a little bit of fraying at the bottom they still are just like brand new. I am a little depressed that Columbia has taken them out of their product line.
Not Lightweight but still a good product By WKinNJ from Central NJ on 07/31/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Packable Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Strange mix of heavy-weight cotton with nylon mesh pockets. Not lightweight hiking pants but they work for me. Nice quality, durable "sturdy" pants which are very confortable and fit well!
