A resonable price on this finally By rover4x4 from North Carolina on 07/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, High Quality Material, Holds Color Well Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a few pairs of these pants I really like them, they are a little baggy though. i think they are also over priced STP price is resonable. i like the MK product it would be nice if they were made here in the United States.
I should have bought two pairs. By hamdog from hollis, nh on 06/10/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, High Quality Material Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: some folks had suggested to order the next size up and that the 2nds run small. i ordered a size up and that's exactly how it fit...a size too big. i thought they might shrink after a wash, but no they did not. i'm stuck with them now and have since ordered a size that will hopefully fit a little better. other then that, a burly pant that should last for at least a decade. no bones there. j-action hole

By Ephblum from Amherst, NY on 06/05/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, High Quality Material, Holds Color Well, Soft brushed fabric, Versatile Style Describe Yourself: Classic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Impressed with how soft these feel compared to Carhartt pants. I got these as weekend work pants so cannot comment on everyday durability, but they look like they would hold up pretty well with triple-stitched seams and heavy cotton duck material. Extra right hand side pocket is kind of a nice touch for keeping things separated in pockets (in case you don't want to get something dirty/dinged like a watch while still having room for putting in that extra screwdriver or whatever, for example, which happened to me a lot). Relaxed fit as expected and works well. High waist wasn't really something I was looking for but works fine. Double layering on knees/cuffs/rear add to durability.
Expensive - but great product By cliffhanger9 from Southeast, PA on 06/01/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, High Quality Material, Versatile Style Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Climbing instructor, Out doors all the time Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I spend a lot of time outdoors - rock climbing, landscaping, odd jobs - and these pants are reliably durable. I've honestly never owned pants this tough. The army duck cotton weave is very tight and these pants have doubled knees, heel, and rear to make the most worn areas last longer. Gusseted crotch is always a plus for freedom of movement with active outdoor enthusiasts. Only con is the price. No matter how great they are, I can't believe people ever pay [$] for a pair of pants. Luckily STP has cut in half, which is still expensive on my budget but I predict they will get a lot of use and last a very long time with these outstanding features. Price aside, these are the toughest, best designed pants I've ever worn, and I've tried most all the other brands.
By SCUBA STEVE from Tacoma, WA on 05/23/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, High Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cragging Describe Yourself: Adventurer Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Burly pants!! Great for a full day of cragging or bouldering. These pants take any abuse you dish out to them. After a few washes, they are as comfortable as your favorite jeans. The gusseted crotch is a must. They are everything the name says true "Mountain Khakis"
By Forest Ecologist from Missoula, MT on 04/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, High Quality Material, Secret Pocket Cons: No Hammer Loop or left ha Best Uses: Birdwatching, Brewing Beer, Gardening, Outdoor workwear, Walking the Dogs Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Minimalist, Sexy Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have been wanting to try this brand of pants for a while but the price tag always got in the way. Until I found these on STP. Mainly got them for workwear as I work for the Forest Circus and usually go through a few pairs of Carhartt each year, when the rear end goes out from sitting my scrawny butt on rocks, logs, and forest floor. BUT these have a double butt and knees, reinforced cuffs, AND a gussetted crotch which will make long hikes and steep slopes much easier. If you use Carhartt workwear as mountain apparal, you will be pleased with these pants. I have worn them everday (2weeks) since I got them and haven't washed them yet. They broke in quick. I think they will last longer than Carhartts as the canvas seems lighter (not as heavy) but also soft and abrasion resistant. Although I already punctured them on some bobwire. I would probably buy these again instead of Carhartt. Also like to know Im supporting a Rocky Mountain business, although they are not made here.
great.. tough and comfortable By Tommy D from Central, ME on 03/27/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, High Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: No reason not to buy these great pants.
Tough pants - skinny waist By M in MT from Bozeman, Montana on 03/23/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, High Quality Material, Holds Color Well Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These really are great pants - the kind you don't often see for less than full price. As far as I can tell, the reason these are 2nds has something to do with the waist sizing. I originally ordered a 36 - what I wear in just about every other pant or short out there - but had to exchange for a 38. Now they are a little loose-fitting, but very, very comfortable. I'm a guy, I should be able to shrink any piece of clothing eventually.
