I ORDERED THE LONG. THEY WERE JUST THE RIGHT LENGTH - THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE A BIT LONGER. VERY STIFF. NEED TO WASH A FEW TIMES BEFORE WEARING. OVERALL - I LIKE THEM.

Good Yard/Barn/Hiking Pants By Blue Ridge Barn Hag from Shenandoah Valley VA on 01/04/2009 Best Uses: Barn Work, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These do no fit like the other Mountain Khaki pants. The waist and hips area are a smidge too tight for me and since the material is heavy, there is not much give and this makes them pretty uncomfortable. I'm not returning them though because I believe they will be a very nice comfortable pant after I've lost an inch or so (good motivator).
Best all around pant in a long time By HIke On from Seymour, CT on 12/26/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these pants on vacation this summer in AK...wear them almost every day...most versatile and comfortable pair of pants...don't find pants easily...finally found a pair of pants for the outdoors very close to a men's pair of pants, but still a women's fit...model changed in the fall of 08...so we were very happy to find the old model at Sierra Trading ...I would recommend the older model pants to a friend (pre fall of 2008)
One of the Best Fitting Pants By Purple-A-Holic from Atlanta, Georgia on 12/15/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these pants for casual kick around weekend wear and have worn them for casual walks and hikes. They are of a heavier weight fabric and suitable for cooler temperatures. Even though the material is a bit stiff, they manage to still hang really nicely. I purchased my normal size (8 x 34) and they fit true to size and the longer length option is great. I have washed them once, threw them in the dryer for ten minutes and hung to dry and they turned out just fine. I actually purchased a second pair for back up just in case because I liked them so much.
By skiwall from Salt Lake City, UT on 11/17/2008 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching Cons: Bulky, Poor Material or Construction Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Granted, I ordered a size too big, but I was really unimpressed with these pants. The color was really strange, and the material was SO stiff... I can see how if they fit well enough, and you can stand them to break them in, they might be totally awesome, but I did not have that experience.
I'd say these really aren't cut for people with skier thighs and a bigger than average butt. If you're skinny, they are probably ok.

Well made comfortable and nice looking.
