I can get my Dell laptop in sideways depending on how much other paper I am carrying, otherwise it still fits in long ways. I just used the bag for a week long meeting and it was great, lots of external and internal pockets. An outer velcro closure would be a great addition. Love it! Great price!

By SF skiier from SF, CA on 01/04/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I picked this up to use as my 'briefcase' on a daily basis. It's perfect for me because I can shove everything -- dayplanner, lunch, coffee and water bottles, blanket, you name it -- into it and still have room to spare. It's a good, utilitarian bag. No separate compartment for a laptop. Solidly made, and I prefer the magnetized flaps instead of the traditional buckles/snaps.
By Frequent Buyer in Santa Fe from Santa Fe, NM on 12/25/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Daily bag in town, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Likes, Modern, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent construction and capacity; a great, unusual color (red in my case); many useful features and pockets; tough and wear resistant -- and not too bulky. A good bag to carry all the stuff one needs for shopping, schlepping, staying in touch by cell phone, even fitting a laptop into the main compartment. Its very contemporary styling is another plus. And a great closeout price, too!
By Rutgers Student from NJ on 12/23/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality, Ideal shape, Magnetic Flap Closure Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am an adult college student and wanted to replace the backpack I'd been using to carry my books to school. This bag has a sturdy bottom and firm sides, so my books and notebooks stay upright and are well supported. The flap closure has two magnets embedded in it and works well for easy access to the main compartment. I don't see the need for the velcro that another reviewer mentioned. This is a very attractive bag in red. Another nicely made Victorinox product! I expect it to be with me for a long time.

I dared to ordered in RED color to be able to recognised it and to get away from all the black luggage I have. It looks great and it suits the purposes I bought it for, mainly for a poetable mini-PC I have and it's utenziles.

By JoeFriday from Dallas, TX on 04/06/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, High Quality Best Uses: Business Travel Describe Yourself: Career, Modern, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am replacing a Timbuk2 backpackzilla called the Data Dump. I wanted something that would be easy to carry, light, smaller, and hold two laptops. This fits the bill. This bag is much lighter when just comparing empty bags. Also, there is a little less storage as would be expected by the size difference. I don't consider that a con as it makes you select the right things to carry.
Here is the one drawback I see in the bag. In the alternate view, you will notice that there are no organizational places for pens, phones, etc. It is just one open pocket separated with a built-in mesh divider. I would have like to have seen some pen holders, business card holder, and a pocket to stick a phone or other accessory so that these items are not just loose in this big compartment.
So, there you have it. If you want a compact bag capable of carrying up to two laptops and don't mind a lack of forethought into organization in the main zippered compartment, then this will be a great choice. If you really like to have bags that help you with the organization by having some built in pockets, then you will be missing that feature.
I would say this is a good solid bag. I would have considered it great if he had better organizational features.
One last thing, if you were going to carry two laptops, you need to put them in sleeves so that they are not banging into each other or at least one of them in a sleeve. I didn't see this as a huge deal since I had sleeves.
