I am replacing a Timbuk2 backpackzilla called the Data Dump. I wanted something that would be easy to carry, light, smaller, and hold two laptops. This fits the bill. This bag is much lighter when just comparing empty bags. Also, there is a little less storage as would be expected by the size difference. I don't consider that a con as it makes you select the right things to carry.
Here is the one drawback I see in the bag. In the alternate view, you will notice that there are no organizational places for pens, phones, etc. It is just one open pocket separated with a built-in mesh divider. I would have like to have seen some pen holders, business card holder, and a pocket to stick a phone or other accessory so that these items are not just loose in this big compartment.
So, there you have it. If you want a compact bag capable of carrying up to two laptops and don't mind a lack of forethought into organization in the main zippered compartment, then this will be a great choice. If you really like to have bags that help you with the organization by having some built in pockets, then you will be missing that feature.
I would say this is a good solid bag. I would have considered it great if he had better organizational features.
One last thing, if you were going to carry two laptops, you need to put them in sleeves so that they are not banging into each other or at least one of them in a sleeve. I didn't see this as a huge deal since I had sleeves.
