By montesa_vr from Cambridge, MN on 10/29/2008 Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these for tasks that require boots: using the chain saw, training horses, shovel work that requires a stiff sole. Although I normally wear a 14 B, I ordered both 14 and 15 to try. The 14 ran ever so slightly short, and the 15 was too wide for my heel. I had two other dislikes. The high collar around my lower leg felt extremely stiff. Might provide good protection if the boot itself didn't inflict damage. But the real killer for me -- the synthetic lining was excruciatingly irritating to my instep. I've had contact dermatitis in this area caused by a pair of insulated slippers, and it took me years to overcome it. I just couldn't take a chance on these boots.
I bought a pair of Asolo FSN 95 boots in size 14. They seem not to irritate in spite of their Gore-Tex and synthetic lining. Their D width fits my B width feet nicely with good heel grip.
By KJ from Port Orchard, WA on 09/20/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Light weight Cons: No Footbed Support, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Minimum Time, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Tried wearing these one day to work. My left heal felt like I had climbed a mountain and jumped off. These are like wearing converse sneakers, flat and rubbery. I even tried using new Superfeet in them, no better.

By Groundskeeper from West Finley, PA on 07/01/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Industrial work, RanchFarm Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Conservative, Hard Outdoor Worker, Outdoor Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The right boot rubbed the heel a little. The boots are synthetic and that can sometimes be a quark in the great fit department. Having said that they did break in (or my foot did) after 30 to 40 hours of rugged wear. Not perfect but for the price and for what I put them through they are fine.
