I'm an 8, wear a 8 1/2 in the trail runner asics and a 9 in this shoe. Fit like a glove. great room at the toe box but fit great at the heel. I'm a light to medium pronator and they felt good on my run

By Kim from Houston from Houston on 07/24/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Padding Best Uses: Endurance Training, Pavement Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my 3rd pair of DS trainers - like their light feel, good support. I run about 10 miles/wk now and these shoes work great. Closest thing to the old asics gel-lytes from the 90s that I have found yet.
By runner from new jersey on 07/16/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable Best Uses: Pavement, Strength Training Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The new DS Trainer is not comfortable like these! however, these do not last that long. But if they're on sale -- buy a few pairs -- its worth it while they last!
By ciara14 from Seattle, WA on 07/04/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Padding, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Casual, Cross-Training, Pavement, Speed workouts and races, Trails, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I have used the DS Trainer for 8 years now, and though the shoe has changed and evolved, it has only gotten better. I had problems with shin splints and other issues as a competitive athlete in high school but once I started using these shoes - no problems. They fit like a glove, with enough room in toe box, and nice and snug on the heel (I have narrow heels). Have never gotten blisters. They are lightweight compared to heavier running shoes, you feel lighter wearing them. I can do anything in these shoes, even light-moderate hiking. No other shoe I have worn or own compares to these shoes, running or otherwise.
Note: Normally, up until this version of the DS, I wore an 8.5 religiously in the shoe. With the modifications of this DS, I went up a half size to 9 and it fits great.
Different than other models By AB from Washington on 06/30/2008 Best Uses: Pavement, Strength Training Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was not impressed with these shoes. First, I had to re-order a size larger, and then the larger size didn't fit my foot right. I did not like the arch support; it hurt my feet more than helped. Typically, I love Asics, but not this pair.
By Running Barefoot from Brooklyn, NY on 06/30/2008 Cons: Bad sizing badly made Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had to return these shoes twice because they are not true to size. The second pair had a large seam in the right shoe that dug into my foot.
