By Ben from Houston, TX on 01/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Hiking, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered two of these in Large (which I normally wear), and they were huge. Plus, the sleeves were too long. I exchanged for Medium which fits much better.
By Hope from NY on 01/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Well made Best Uses: Camping, Hiking, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the shirt, but I ordered a man's large and it is really way too big on me, but does not matter because I can wear it over a t-shirt when kayaking, camping or hiking. Really well-made. Unfortunately, it will not shrink! I would have sent it back and gotten a medium, but I am sure they are sold out by now!
Great shirt, but runs large By Appellate lawyer from Houston TX on 01/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased two of these in size L. The L for my husband is too large, but he has decided he likes it so much that he wants to keep it. He is a more casual adventurer and fisherman. I am returning the size L for our son, who is an avid outdoorsman and prefers a less-loose fit. The side vents are a great feature, as are the tabs for rolling the sleeves. Great, lightweight fabric.
By PapaRon1 from Aransas Pass Texas on 12/23/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Cons: Poor Fit, Sleeves about 3in to long Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Could not wear this product
By Paul from Virginia on 12/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Shirt didn't have the bottom, hidden compartment as advertised. I ordered the tan color, the green was sold out. Now I wonder if I order something else if it will be what they say. Wasn't exactly what I had in mind but the one I wanted with zippers was $90.00 so I guess this was good for the price.
By Real Adventure from Columbus, OH on 11/24/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Washes Easily Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shirt has excellent quality and details, but is a full size too big. I am 6'1" and 210 lb. I always wear an XL. This shirt fit like a roomy 2XL. The body and arm length was well proportioned, just a full size too big.
By Troll from Tampa, FL on 11/21/2008 Pros: Boarding pass pocket, Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Pit zips, Zippered waist pocket Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I travel by air a lot for my job. Seven years ago I bought this shirt for backpacking/hiking/camping but it's turned out to be my #1 travel shirt. The left chest pocket is made long to hold a boarding pass, making it very easy to access for security screening and boarding. At the bottom right front, at the waist line, is a zippered security pocket, about 6" long. Before I board a plane I put my ID and money into this pocket. Even with my seatbelt fastened I can easily access this pocket for the cash (gotta have those Bloody Marys!). The pit zips are outstanding. I adjust those constantly as temperature changes between aircraft and terminal. I also love the sleeve tabs that keep the sleeves rolled up. This is the most comfortable and versatile shirt I've ever owned and it's held up fine for 7 years! I plan to buy more if I can find the right style.

Sportif USA Kilimanjaro Nylon Shirt By lamaha-ler from CO on 08/16/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Models may apparently vary in that some have pit zips and others only have net side vents. My newest acquisition has side vents. I liked the pit zips for winter activities and the side vents would be OK for milder conditions. I wish I knew it had changed. I'm not terminally disappointed, but buyer's may want to consider this and ask about the features that will actually be shipped--if it matters. Perhaps Sierra can make this clear in the description. Also, I'm an average large, but this shirt is pretty roomy on me. The older pit-zip model was smaller. As we all know, sizes are all over the map these days. I guess it depends on whether you want a tailored fit, or a roomy windshirt. If I wanted a more trim shirt I would have ordered a medium after seeing it.
