COAT TO NOISY FOR DEER HUNTING By DJS from SHERMAN NY on 02/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Camo Design, Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Normally wool is super quiet. But once wool is paired with a windbreak or waterproof matieral it becomes noisy. Coat would be fine in a Duck blind but no good when after Deer or predators.
By lets go from wyoming on 01/29/2009 Pros: Camo Design, Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Bird Hunting, Cold Climate Describe Yourself: Recreational Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
By AS from Chicago on 01/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Camo Design, Warm Cons: Not Warm Enough, Poor Styling Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Obviously made by someone who doesn't hunt. Way way too noisy to use for any kind of silent hunting. Think polyester leisure suit, swish, swish, every time you move. Annoying to the point that I wouldn't even wear it as an inner layer under a shell for biking.
It's also quite cheaply made, it was kind of warm, but felt very thin and chintzy. The inner waterproof lining isn't bound to the outer sweater. If you're looking for a wool underlayer get a sweater.
By VRodowner from Hot Springs, AR on 01/13/2009 Pros: Camo Design, Comfortable, Waterproof Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Bird Hunting, Warm Climate Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not for the extreme cold but a very nice jacket that looks good in the woods or as a casual jacket for daily activities. Buy this!
Warm jacket great for bowhunting By Shaggy from Flagstaff,AZ on 01/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Camo Design, Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Bird Hunting, Cold Climate, Moderate cold Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Can't beat wool, I have not had a chance to check the waterproofness of the garment. The wool layer rubs on the lining and makes a little rasping noise. However, its not noticeable while still hunting or walking/moving slowly. Sleeve are not too baggy and don't catch my bow string.
Comfortable and lightweight By Crazy4Huntin from NYC, NY on 12/31/2008 Pros: Breathable, Camo Design, Comfortable, Waterproof Best Uses: Big Game Hunting, Moderate cold or layering Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket runs a bit small in the cut. If you choose to layer under it you need 2 sizes larger than you normally would wear. It is very comfortable and lightweight and will hold its' own in moderate cold (30 degrees.) It also makes a great layer under a heavy coat or rain gear in harsh or extreme cold. The liner can be a bit noisy, but for rifle hunting, it shouldn't have as great an effect. Slow movement really dampens the noise.
I would buy this product again By The bird hunter from Pinehurst NC on 12/25/2008 Pros: Camo Design, Comfortable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Bird Hunting, Cold Climate Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used for field trialing

Airy, GA on 12/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, Camo Design, Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this product to wear upland birdhunting with a waist belt for game and shells. It serves the purpose well. I also plan to wear it as top layering under my chestwaders while duckshooting. It seems to be perfect for that.
