I never thought I'd be wearing camo
By anonymousVerified Reviewer from Seattle on 11/22/2008
Pros:

Cons:
None
Best Uses:
Anywhere
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I am not a hunter. I bought this jacket to go to hunting camp with father-in-law. This jacket is really nice, comfortable, and warm. However, I don't think it is going to keep you warm in really cold temperatures if you are outside and exposed, but in the Pacific Northwest it will probably work most of the time. I'm a lawyer and live in Seattle and never thought I'd be wearing camo. However, I like this jacket so much, I've started wearing it around town. It is a good weight and looks very good. It does run a little on the small side, but I think that is because the coat is made to fit close (and probably looks better that way). One of the many nice features is that the zipper goes high up on the neck. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this jacket.

Pros:
Camo Design
Cons:
Not Warm Enough
Best Uses:
Warm Climate
Describe Yourself:
Experienced Hunter
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Received jacket last week and took it elk scouting in far northern NM this weekend. Temp in the 40's to 50's. Wool is very thin and lacks jacket warmth. Most of my sweaters are thicker. Might be OK for a layer but not much else. Don't count on it for cold weather.

Very Good Jacket
By Aussie HunterVerified Reviewer from Sydney, Australia on 04/30/2008
Pros:
Camo Design, Comfortable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof
Cons:
A bit Stiff
Best Uses:
Big Game Hunting, Cold Climate
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Hunter
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
When this jacket arrived I was a bit skeptical of it's use as a cold weather jacket. This was put to rest as I wore it out on a chilly night (just casually), and I actually felt hot. This jacket is not the most silent jacket, and one other picky thing is that it feels a bit stiff. I am a fan of the mossy oak pattern, and the styling of this jacket. The only test left to do is take it away on a hunting trip to see if it is good in the freezing cold and hunt environment. Otherwise, a very good jacket so far.
