By Water girl. from Silver City, New Mexico on 07/06/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This bag was perfect for carrying the kitchen equipment, which includes a stove that is too big for the dimensions of most dry bags. I like all the different tie down straps and also the shoulder straps are great for carrying it once it's packed.
By Musky Mike from Wisconsin on 06/23/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Perfect Size, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I started using the standard seal dry bags during our fly-in trips to Canada. When you're out in a boat all day you need to store clothing and equipment out of the sun and water. As we've become more experienced we have now taken to portaging from lake to lake . These backpack dry bags are the perfect choice. I have used the large size and tend to overpack that one so I bought the medium size which appears to hold the right amount and a young adult can still carry it.
By Levi the Swimmer from Nashville, TN on 06/17/2009 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I took this bag on a two-day trip down the Big South Fork. We spilled in the first rapids and the bag floated like a cork. By the time we camped out on the first day it was bone dry inside. After a couple portages I agree with the other reviewers that the straps are pretty weak. It could use a chest or belt strap to take some of the stress off the soldiers, but if you're a budget adventurer I'm sure you could come up with something creative.
