If 1st Impressions Count, A Winner Here By Ranger Bob from St Louis, MO on 05/06/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased this waterproof gear bag for a kayaking trip on the Colorado River next month. Although I have yet to actually use it, my first impressions are positive PLUS I have always had good use out of other Seattle Sports equipment that I have purchased here as well as other places.
Solid protection for you gear By 2canoe from Chattanooga, TN on 04/10/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Best Uses: Adventure Racing, Paddling Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Think of this dry bag as a dry bag with shoulder straps, not a backpack that is waterproof. This dry bag is best suited for canoe camping with portages, and not for a long, water-logged backpacking trip, as the shoulder straps are not particularly beefy. Also, there is no waist belt, so your shoulders will be bearing the load. Great for its intended purpose.
By hikesk8sno from Duluth, MN on 02/02/2009 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Competitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this bag to carry my camera equipment during canoe trips. I've seen a ton of dry bags but needed something with shoulder straps. I admit the straps are a bit feeble, but good enough for portages in the Boundary Waters!!
By welshmage from San Juan Swell, UT on 12/23/2008 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Cons: Weak strap interface Best Uses: Backpacking, PU bed equipment storage, Sailing Describe Yourself: Competitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these primarily as waterproof storage for survival supplies in the back of my 4WD PU (for unplanned breakdowns, etc). They appear to be strongly made of good heavy material, but I am worried about the attachment of the straps to bag. It's difficult to give a final judgement until they have bounced around in the PU for a year or so...RBV
By 1062 Z from Northeast on 12/19/2008 Pros: Strong Material, Waterproof Best Uses: Paddling, Sailing Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Its bulky and the straps a little flimsy, they pop open under some stress. For the price it does its job.
