By IncaTiger7 from New York City on 12/12/2008 Pros: Breathable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This boot is functional, i.e, sturdy construction and keeps feet dry in wet conditions. The first day I wore the boots it rained heavily. My feet stayed warm and dry throughout the day. I like the thick heel and quilted look on the shaft of the boot. I gave three stars because of the annoying "squeaky, crinkly sound" the boots make while walking. I wore them for over a week and a half hoping the noise would go away. Unfortunately, it didn't. So I plan to only use the boots when I do outside trips, such as grocery shopping, etc., where the "squeakiness" is minimized. Otherwise, I do find the boot comfortable and again, functional.
"Don't judge a book by its cover" By Giggles from Oak Park, IL on 12/05/2008 Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Not Comfortable Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: My instep is to high. Will not send back because I am losing money in sending back boots. I will try to see if a niece like and want the boots. I normally wear an 8 and ordered a 9, still the boot is tight. Might have worked better if it had a zipper. Not a good selection for the price.
