By Frankns from Chicago, IL on 10/30/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Versatile Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought and returned this when I found it was light-wieght. It's a fine coat, but really NOT for cold weather. The Wool-Cashmere-Nylon blend wouldn't cut it in a Chicago Winter. Fall, maybe. Winter, no.

I knew that a traditional coat made by a traditional English manufacturer would have to be able to stand up to freezing rain, driving hail, and that penetrating island damp; and that there would be room underneath for a sweater or jacket.
The coat met all my expectations. And I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it looks and the quality of the cloth, as I had thought that the 20% nylon had been added to reduce cost. In fact, it is made of a quality woven double faced fabric with a very nice complimentary plaid interior surface. the finish is impeccable.

My son is receiving it as a gift so not worn yet but measures exactly with the same size 44R as his top coat. It has a nice plaid lining. This is the greatest buy.

By Werner from Westchester, NY on 10/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Cons: Poor Choice of Fabrics Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I received my coat literally the day before the first snow of the season, October 15. I was happy to be able to wear it so soon after purchase and, after trying it on, quickly removed the tags and headed out for an evening in the city. In the light of the next day, however, I realized that the fabric content was such that I'll likely never wear it again. When I purchased it, the fabric content for Black (27) was not listed, and I was sorry to learn that it was more than 30% nylon and polyester. It looks and feels to the touch like one of those inexpensive blankets for wrapping oneself in to watch television. If I could return it I would but, having worn it, I now cannot. I will purchase the all-wool version, which--albeit a more expensive option--is closer to my taste in materials.
By Pete from South Windsor CT on 10/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Best Uses: Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this in size 46 color camel and that coat was too large. I ordered replacement in size 44 color loden since camel not available. The 2nd coat was too small. Either sizing from this vendor is in error or since the two coats were of a different fiber content that had a different texture and feel, the second coat may have been a poor replacement for the first coat which was of obviously better quality.

I purchased one several years ago and always get compliments on it. This coat cannot be found in stores and definitely stands out. My dry cleaner even complimented me on the coat as he nevers sees coats of this caliber and material. A coat that will stand the test of time and will last for years.
