By Simon the frenchie from Paris, France on 11/13/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The coat is exactly as described. It is a real Gloverall with the high quality finish and feeling. I wear it often casually, with sneakers and jeans, I love it !
The size is perfect for me but I'm not tall ! If you are take the "tall man" model or the sleeves will be too short. I'm 1m73 / 52 at the chest, and the 52 fits me perfectly !
Thanks a lot.
By Stravinsky from Boston on 11/09/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a 39 and was unsure how to apply the "order one size up" rule. A 42 was way too big. Wish I had ordered a 40 and a 42 at the same time instead of one at a time. My first choice color was sold out, but the burgundy is actually quite nice.
I'm very pleased with this coat. By Ed from Bronx, New York on 11/09/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I first ordered a size 42 which was a little snug. I returned the product for a size 44 which fits and feels great.
*Far below your high standards By Bill of the duffle coat from San Mateo, CA on 11/08/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have bought 2 different Gloverall duffle coats from you over a number of years. Both made of Excellent cloth and heavy weight and hung perfectly on the body. The one I just returned was exactly the opposite in all respects. Shame on your buyers whom I had come to trust generally. The gloverall people have damaged their reputation. Don't let them damage yours.

By Jack from Charlotte NC on 11/07/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Warm Best Uses: Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Seems to be "suit jacket" sized, i.e. just barely roomy enough over a sportcoat, though that could just be wool against wool. You might want to go up a size if you intend to wear it over suits or sportcoats.
Stylish and warm though, the hood fits surprisingly well, and the throat latch doesn't choke me
a traditional masterpiece with STYLE By still BLU from the Lone Star State, Dallas on 11/05/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Reinforced stiching, Room to move layer, Versatile, Warm, Well made Cons: Has to be dry cleaned, Needs to be scotchguarded Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Perfect Winter coat, Travel Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been looking for a 'real' Duffle coat and this most definitely is IT. I can almost guarantee this IS the last coat I will need to purchase and I'm a young man...I've had the imitations, but the stitching, thickness, softness and overall feel of the coat along with the stylish lining only add to a classic that can be dressed up and layered with multiple pieces in your ensemble, worn by itself, dressed up or worn with a pair of jeans, a T and a sweater. Reinforced stitching and reinforcement around the closures (toggles) make for plenty of attention for detail, keeping in mind the many uses one might and will have.
The color is rich, deep and makes for an overall solid coat. A true artistic masterpiece to be adorn season after season, as one made by the British will never go out of style.
I'm tall and quite thin and made the decision to size up and the coat fits well but knowing I will be adding layers (sweater, blazer, etc.) makes it a perfect fit. No pulling with arms stretched out, no binding and a perfect length, past the waist to cover all worn underneath...
Worth every dollar as I could NOT have gotten a better coat if I had it custom made and tailored for me.
By tom from italy on 11/05/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Cut, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: hi i just bought a gloverall coat in color loden size 38.mine, unlike some others has a remarkably nice tartan inside.it does suit good on me (sleeves a tad short for me but still work fine) and allows me to wear a jacket underneath when i go to work.it's extremely classic but youngish as well, so i can make a great use of it (being 25yo).it is very well cut and the quality seems extremely good:thick SOFT wool,so rather warm and comfy though of course a supertech jacket would shelter you better from wind and ice!i believe it shall probably last for at least 10 years!i'll just point out that it is sold for [$] in my home town whereas i got it for [$]!!!GREAT VALUE then.unless you DO need a burberry one or something extremely expensive i would absolutely recommend this as the one and only ORIGINAl montgomery coat(i'm a very picky buyer!).unlike someone else said I also DO believe the horn toggles are absolutely real.if they arent they did a great job in reproducing them as you would never tell(everyone is different from the others and just looking natural horn).cant see many cons,if you are young dont go for exessively boring colors.i reckon this coat can be very posh and stilish, also you'll never feel it's not trendy anymore as it's an ever lasting old classic.unfortunately i also had to add [...] 70€ taxes at the italian border, but still got it for [$]in total which is very good!get the right colour and size and go for it!
