By Far North from North of Duluth, Minnesota on 12/23/2007 Cons: Inadequate Protection Best Uses: Casual Wear, late fall, early winter Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've had this jacket for eight years now, and worn it literally 1000's of times. Sure, the cuffs are fraying a bit, but I still wear it to church. Sometimes. However, this jacket is NOT arctic warmth in any sense. I used this in both the Adirondacks and far northern Minnesota, and it'll keep you decently warm down to twenty degrees, but close to zero, forget it (and I run fairly hot).
It does a good job of repelling water, too; I don't ever remember getting soaked in it, no matter the weather I was in.
"Good clothing but not welder friendly" By JESSE THE WELDER from WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. on 12/18/2007 Cons: Inadequate Protection, Wears Out Quickly, Zipper burns up Best Uses: Extreme Conditions, Welding Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Try to make them more welder friendly. Try to make the material more fire retardant. Make the jacket where the zipper is better protected, I'm a pipe welder and I always seem to keep burning the zipper up.
