The only drawback is so minor--it doesn't fit as close to my body as most other jackets, but on the other hand that allows for more layering if needed.

It would be fine for a "bop around town" jacket, but not a serious sport jacket.

Use those for walkie-talkie, other essentials.
Jacket seemed very well made, I hated to return it but I rely on those handy pockets when skiing.
At least one more exterior pocket and I would have loved it.
