Comments: This is the most flexible cold weather jacket I own. It's a warm jacket for the weight and sheds water pretty well. In the last year, I've worn it skiing, high country hunting and backpacking. It's my favorite jacket for each of those varied activities. It has nice styling and looks good around town. Pit zips would make it perfect, but I'll settle for what it is.
Fits my need for softshell jacket.

Comments: I bought this jacket a the end of the ski season, after recommendations on Cloudveil products from local skiers at Jackson Hole. My short experience with above freezing weather has been excellent. It is very adaptable to various conditions. I wear either a medium and large jacket (41-42), but the medium size fits perfectly over normal base layers. A light fleece layer could be used also, in colder conditions.

Comments: This is a simple, nicely-appearing and very functional jacket. I love the slick-lined interior (makes layering a snap). I do NOT like the front zipper. It is way too small and flimsy. A step up to a beefier zipper would be a good idea for the manufacturer. The drawstring waist is shock-corded, which is good. But the shock-cord locks slip too easily. Improvement is needed there. If it weren't for these two bothersome flaws, this would easily be the BEST all-around jacket I have ever owned...seriously.

Comments: This jacket is extremely warm and comfortable-I've used on mountain hikes and X-country skiing in the White Mountains at sub-zero temperatures. It's also a great jacket for daily use in cold weather-not bulky at all and good looking.
