nice features, great shell: NOT warm By Dave from Bryn Mawr, PA on 12/20/2007 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Inadequate Protection Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Skiing, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: You'll need layers underneath to stay warm in this jacket on most days on the slopes. Other than that, it's pretty solid. Nice look, good features. I wouldn't recommend to a friend only because of the price - there are warmer jackets with similar features for less money.
By Simon Says from Cheboygan Michigan on 12/15/2007 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The coat is light weight and comfortable. The zippers are new and require a break in but I think the coat is well made and will hold up over time.
By Ski-bum from New York on 12/12/2007 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Inadequate Protection, Not a cold weather jacket Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is sold as a ski jacket when it's really a slightly warmer shell. I bought this as a ski jacket for my husband and we returned it. It's nice looking and fits well but it won't work in January or February without some additional padding. Also, oddly, the tag says "squaw" jacket but the website says "squall." No spider logo either if you want the status symbol.
