I'm going to wear this jacket every day By Tom from Ohio on 08/24/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Someone mentioned the value of the pit zips. They really do extend the usability of this jacket. My jacket arrived on probably the hottest day in August. When I tried it on it was stiflingly hot. Once I opened the pit zips it cooled down to warm and comfortable. I'd say the pit zips extend its use by a full season.
By matlak from anchorage, alaska on 08/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Light weight and comfortable. Can be worn as a mid weight layer on cold days or under rain gear to add insulation. Not extremely technical but it has pit zips and I like that very much.

By jlegato from San Luis Obispo, CA on 08/11/2009 Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable jacket. It's warmer than I thought it would be! The pit zips are perfect for keeping me at the right temperature. The fabric seems very durable. It really keeps the wind off. This replaces my camping fleece. It could use an extra pocket on the outside but the one inside works just as well you just have to open the jacket to get to it. I'm 6'-2" with long sleeve requirements and the extra large fits perfectly.
By Buckeye Man from Cincinnati, OH on 07/27/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: All weather functional, comfortable in cold & wet weather yet breathable
By Sportskid1 from Redondo Beach, CA on 07/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just received the jacket and it is great. Good looking and a good athletic cut, not baggy. It is very comfortable, blocks the wind well, and is very warm for a lightweight jacket. I haven't had it in the rain yet so I can't comment on its water resistance. Overall a great buy.
By Eagle Scout from Honeybrook, PA on 02/25/2009 Pros: Awsome all around, Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Cons: I cant afford another Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I can not begin to express my pleasure and satisfaction with this jacket. It is a solidly built jacket in every aspect. The material is great, fit is good (I generally wear ‘Tall’ sized shirts and jackets). The craftsmanship of this jacket really does make it a very functional work of art in my humble opinion.
A replacement for my old Windstopper By Riverrat from Monroe,Ga on 02/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am out in the elements with work and the Windstopper helps with reducing the number of layers needed to keep warm.
I have three other Windstopper Jackets for other uses. The Marmot jacket fit is one of the best. I had tried two other brands before I bought this. I have been using Marmot Products for over a decade and I have been pleased with durability and performance.
Great Shell over fleece or Light Weight By GoettMann from Maryland woods on 02/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fabric is a lite-weight rip-stop type rather than the wonder bra type material of the Gravity jackett.
Fit is more roomy with "Angel Wing" arm pits that fits over a base and middle layer. The other Marmot styles are too tight in armpits and too close fitting for a fleece layer. After trying all the Marmot line, finnally found the Best.
By Handyman from California on 02/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Good Weight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Everything is great (especially the arm pit zippers and the velcro cuffs) about this product except there is restrictive movement under the arm pits. For that reason I don't wear it as often as I would like. The jacket is lightweight, water and air resistant. It fits someone who wears XL size around the belly and shoulders. [...] which shows how easy us can pack it.
