This is a SHELL!
By ColdVerified Reviewer from Minnesota on 02/17/2009
Pros:
Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant
Cons:
Not Warm Enough
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Chest Size:
Feels true to size
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports
Sleeve Length:
Feels true to length
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I didn't think the description of this jacket made it clear that it has NO insulation. If you are looking for just a shell, I would recommend this jacket. It fit well and I liked the cut and style. It is not something that will keep me warm enough for a Minnesota winter.

Comfortable fit. Light weight. If you're going to wear this for winter sport, you will need layers underneath for warmth.

I have been wearing it for cross-country skiing layered over a fleece. It's light enough to stow easily in my pack when I don't need it.

This jacket is perfect for an outter layer when running in the cold, wet winter weather. It's perfect design allows for layering and unrestricted movement. I've waited a long time to find a jacket like this at such a great price. This is truely a superb, quality addition to my "running" ward-robe and works great for other winter sports as well.

I am 5'4", bought the Md, and the sleeves are about right, so they might feel short if you are a taller person or have longer arms.

This jacket, over a down sweater, kept me going while hiking back trails in Galena, IL with high winds and freezing temperatures. I'd recommend it for any winter activities.

I bought this coat as a replacement to my 8 year old Marmot GoreTex jacket. I snowboard at least 30 days per season in all conditions and demand a lot from my jackets. This one is perfect.

Comments:
This is a great jacket for playing in the snow and in the rain. I use it primarily when I ride my bike in the cold, wet weather. It fits snugly and its fleece-lines collar and hard shell keeps me warm even in wet, windy winter conditions. Its also breathable enough that when I arrive at my destination, I'm not soaked from the inside out.
