By dog mama from Seattle, WA on 10/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great looking and styled jacket. Perfect when I run out the door at 7 a.m. with the dogs and its raining, not quite cold yet and not quite warm. Was only looking for that, but can see that I'll wear this jacket in snowy weather as well and could use it cross country skiing.

Tight armholes. Had to return By hikeswiss from Northern CA on 08/31/2009 Pros: Durable, High quality, Stylish Cons: Constricts Movement, Odd fit, Tight in armholes Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a beautifully made, high quality jacket but the fit was odd--very tight in the armholes. I am 5'9" 122 lbs with slender long arms. If this jacket doesn't fit me I can't imagine how it could fit anyone of "average" weight and size. Every other part of the jacket fit perfectly; sleeve length, bottom (around upper hip) chest and neck. It seems as though there was a major error in cutting the patterns for this jacket. Too bad because I loved it and hated having to return it.
By Midwest Captive from Iowa on 04/12/2009 Pros: Stylish, Warm, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Sping fall wear Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this jacket. Virtually windproof, but if you get overheated, the underarm zippers are great. I read the reviews about the top being too big and the bottom too snug. Not for me, I have a boyish figure. It fits perfectly. Purple color is great, too.
By Sun seeker from Colorado on 02/24/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Hood does not stow away Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am long waisted, 5'4", 130 lbs, and I ordered a medium and it fits great. I like the way it fits close to my hips, but I still have a couple inches to tighten it up for spring skiing.
By skimama from mountains of Idaho on 12/30/2008 Pros: Durable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Skate skiing and downhill, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This soft shell feels a bit heavy out of the box. It has a thin fuzzy lining. I love the hood, but I sometimes feel that when the hood is down the zipper is up against my throat. So far I have used it for skate skiing in below 20s weather and downhill skiing. I'm trying to figure out how to layer it - I have gotten cold in it a couple of times when not active (tubing and sledding). It is a good layer and I am going to use it a lot.
By Outdoor Jane from Juneau, AK on 11/22/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This product was very cute and reasonable looking in the catalog. I got it and the hips and neck we're too tight. I've been known for my small hips especially after two kids. I am normally a small or medium. I ordered medium, so I could layer. Had to send it back at a cost to me, real bummer.
A great jacket for the right person By Patty/runner/biker girl from Wisconsin on 11/18/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I read the earlier comments about this jacket before ordering, and I decided to order it because even though it fit "strange" for others (longer sleeves, smaller around the midsection and a little bigger on top), one comment said it would be great for tall, slender people. Since that is my description, I ordered it and it is great.- nice longer sleeve length, which is sometimes hard to find --great wind and water resistent, fantastically made. A very nice jacket for all around and running errands, as well as winter sports. It is not insulated or warm like a down jacket, but it is light weight and breathable - and the weather resistant factor keeps you warm if you are active.
By PowderSearcher from CT on 11/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Im about 5'9" with about a 30" waist and this jacket fits me perfectly. Other people commented about the chest area being to big but it is perfect for me. I love this jacket, it is well made and all stitching is reinforced. The only improvement I would make was to add windstopper fleece in the hand warmer pockets. Im pickey and I love this jacket.
Tape on seams fell off with one washing. By Stacyart01 from Toms River NJ on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I gave this garment as a gift to someone with high hopes for it. I was shocked and appalled to see all the internal tape on the seams pop off after one washing. What the heck? They had to cut off all the dangling tape with a scissor in order to make it wearable. Real hi-tech. How embarrassing, I only pray that the rest of it does not fall apart. No good deed goes unpunished. Were in not for the fact that it now resides overseas, I would have returned it. You think it should have stood up to more than that after costing more than[$] For shame and steer clear of this dreck. Images shared by: Stacyart01Do not depend on this for much.
