I took it to Vegas for hiking in the desert. It actually rained while we hiked. The light blue color was not heat adsorbing when it was sunny (and became hot)yet was waterproof and windproof when it rained (and quickly became cold). My sister was wearing it at the time and consquently stole it from me. I had to buy another one for myself.

By Mountain Girl from Utah on 05/20/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Backpacking, Biking, Cross Country, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Summer sports, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love that it's waterproof AND so thin and lightweight. The pockets filling backward is a little weird, but it's nice not having bulk immediately in the front. Need to get through the learning curve of reaching in with the opposite hand. Not a huge deal.
