I don't know if it was made that way or it's a reject.
By mag from Monterey, CA on 03/16/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Versatile Effective Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Stashed-away warmth, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shirt is extremely lightweight, but really works. I rode horseback yesterday afternoon for three hours. Max temp was 58, winds were 25 knots with gusts up to 35. I wore the wind shirt and the Golite 44150 top and was completely comfortable. I tried unzipping the neck of the wind shirt to see how cold I SHOULD be, and the difference was immediate--much colder!
I normally wear a size 12 top and felt the women's large was too small for layering, so I'm exchanging up.
It's small enough to stow in your saddle bags, bike pannier, glove compartment, or purse.I bought one for my daughter to use on campus.
Note that the colors for the Golite products seem cattywampus. The wild berry I ordered couldn't possibly look more graphish. And some of the Golite products are showing "absinthe" as blue. It's a greenish mustard, actually. And celadon is light blue.

Due to the lightweight material, I doubt the shirt would stand much abuse, but for windy, cooler weather, it would work well over another top.
