By hawaii online gear shopper from Honolulu, HI on 10/27/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great price for a good waterproof shell. I usually wear a size 8, so this medium would make sense, but it fit like a men's size medium: big all over. I'd have traded it in for a size smaller if it had been available in the same color.
I would buy this product again & again. Nice jacket with great features By llamamama from Laramie, WY on 12/09/2008 Pros: Durable, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this jacket and am constantly getting complements on it. It is incredibly waterproof and has a sturdy fabric that I don't have to worry about. The pockets are well placed and functional - I love the arm pocket and the chest pocket for storing smaller items such as a cell phone. The only con is the pit zip zipper is the same as the hand zippers (one zipper running down the coat from arm pit) which could make it easy to lose something out of the pocket as you try to cool off.
By Zelabeth from Seattle on 04/03/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Walking to work Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Lowe Alpine runs small and I kinda wish I'd gone for a large, but I'm OK with the Medium (it's a bit snug cross my chest). It saved me this winter from our foul Seattle rains.
By SkiRacer's mom from New Jersey on 01/02/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Fit well over fleece, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Bad Weather, Skiing in bad weather Describe Yourself: Athletic multi-tasker Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Took this jacket up to Whiteface last weekend. Day one of our trip offered rain at the base, and snow & wind at the top, but I was comfortable & dry all day under this jacket. Wore something else (an insulated soft shell) on day two and quickly overheated, so it was back to this jacket over a softshell and base layer for the heavy snow falling on day 3. Again, I stayed dry and comfortable. This jacket was perfect for this trip, and I'm glad I had it! If only it could have done something about the traffic on the way home...
Not for the pear-shaped body!!! By suzieque from portland, or. on 12/14/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, In the city, Use for biking Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a water-repellent jacket to wear for commuter biking. This jacket was my size (10) and did not fit my larger bottom and thighs. This is really a "trim-fit" garment.
