By East Coast Girl from Boston, MA on 08/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Constricts Movement, Irregular Size Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this jacket and had to return it because it runs so small. I generally take a 4/6 and could barely even zip the 4 up it was so tight. the length was ok and like most MH products the arms were unreasonably long (and I'm 5'7") so unfortunately back it went. The fabric was wonderful though and the colors were great. I wish it would have fit more consistently.
By snowshoe71 from Alaska on 05/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Bad weather, Cross Country, Snow sports, Winter biking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have owned this jacket for a year and couldn't be without it. I have used it hiking, backpacking, winter biking, snowshoeing, back country & cross country skiing, etc... it is windproof and and waterproof. I put a fleece or down coat on underneath depending on how cold it is (Alaska winter temps!). I got caught on a ledge when a rain storm hit and I just pulled everything tight and waited it out... and stayed dry and warm. My only complaint is if your aren't wearing gloves about 1/2 inch of the sleeve gets wet at the bottom when it's pouring out. It is well worth the money
By Katie of Germany from Sindelfingen, Germany on 01/14/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first piece of Mountain Hardware clothing and wow! Lots of features! Hate to spend this much on a jacket, but I do have to admit that I think it'll be well worth it. Also bought the Marmot lightweight shell, but this is sooo nice, that I'm going to keep both:*)
