Too Small
By notsureVerified Reviewer from Tucson, AZ on 08/19/2008
Pros:
Lightweight
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Chest Size:
Feels too small
Fit:
Feels too small
Sleeve Length:
Feels too short
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
After reading the comments, I ordered one size larger than my normal size. However it was still too small. Also it is cut so that all the water will get dumped onto your legs, so you would need rain pants with this.

I commute to work on a bicycle and this is the perfect jacket for the all too often scattered T-storms that I encounter. I love how small it packs down, it fits into my Camelback w/out taking up too much room. W/out a doubt order one size larger than you normally would.

Comments:
Don't ignore the comments about the size running small. If you're between sizes, moving up to the larger size may not be enough. If you get a good fit, it is waterproof and very lightweight. It would be nice if it had side pockets.

Comments:
This jackets packs so small I can keep one in my motorcycle and in my golf bag without taking up hardly any space. Very nice to keep handy for unexpected rain. Others had said it was small and I agree. I bought one at my usual large and liked it but bought another for my golf bag at an XL size. It's perfect, so order one size larger or else it feels tiny. I must admit the smaller one still works for golfing - it just seems small. Weird!

Great price for a nice lightweight jacket. Dosen't say it's waterproof but a quick shower will change your mind on that. Flexible, packs small, great for the minimalist packer.

Good product. Seems waterproof, is very breathable, is light weight, and doesn't cost too much. I recently took it on a backpacking trip in the Colorado Rockies, and it kept me dry during the rain, hail, and snow storms that we faced. After reading reviews, I bought a large (I normally wear medium) and it fits great. Buy one size larger than you normally would.

A nice jacket for light rain. It's light and easy to pack. Sizing is a bit small, so buy 1 size up. The torso length seems a bit short for my long torso. No side pockets.

Comments:
After reading the previous reviews I was scared about the fit. I am 6'2" and 140lbs (15x35 dress shirt size)...so yeah, I'm lanky. I ordered a large even though I typically wear a medium and it was perfect. The arm length was perfect for me, it is not too baggy around the chest and stomach, and the length stops an inch below my belt line. I wore this to an outdoor festival that received 2 inches of rain. It works. I cant say the same for my Levi's though. The only con is that it is made from a very thin material that seems easy to snag or rip. I haven't done so yet, but I'm sure to be careful when I'm wearing it.

Comments:
I really like this jacket, but would definitely caution folks about the following. I'm a tall (6'2") slender (~180 lbs) guy, and I usually wear Med/Lg shirts...this jacket is almost too small for me. Is definitely form-fitting. Sleeves are also nearly too short, and the elastic on the cuffs are a bit tight. I would definitely recommend going up a size-across the scale-when ordering. But this thing is so light, makes a great jacket in warm, rainy weather, great compression for extended hiking. Excellent waterproofing yet breathable. An extra pocket would be nice, but no complaints. Other than the sizing, I really enjoy this jacket.
