By TheNiceGuy from Petaluma, CA on 05/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I think I'm going to like this jacket quite a bit. It has a ton of easily accessible pockets that will be great for hiking/camping/birding. The waist isn't very long, so your wallet will get wet if you don't have waterproof pants. The collar is a bit stiff with the hood folded inside, but it is not uncomfortable. The neoprene sleeves are really nice.
By Idaho O from Southern Idaho on 05/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Windproof Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Was hoping this would be similair to the simms wading jackets i've worn in the past. This is comparable to them but a much better price. Had a couple rain storms come through that knocked the salmon flies off into the water. With this thing on, I was able to forge on and slay some nice bows.
By Forty years on the River from Pennsylvania on 04/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Tight waist over waders Best Uses: Wading in the rain, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wore it for the first time, wading a river in the Spring rain. It was cold and I had on neoprene waders. Tight in the waist. Very warm jacket works on cold Spring days but not acceptable as temperature warms up.
Pockets were good, other features good. No need to wear a vest underneath. Cannot comment on durability.
functional and looks good By miloman from kalamazoo mi on 03/24/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Great pockets, Stylish Best Uses: Fishing, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: lots of room and great for movement (casting).
nice looking too, but the elastic waist needs to go.
Top quality construction and fabric By biker bob from Madison WI on 03/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: One look at this jacket and you can tell it is very well made. And the fabric is a micro-fiber so its very soft. The jacket is very stylish. Keep in mind that this is "waist cut" jacket and the elastic waist is snug. There's plenty of room around the arms and chest, but the waist band tends to creep up. That's the only reason I rated it 4 instead of 5 stars. [...]
By Mikie from Amarillo,Tx on 02/24/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great price for fishing jacket
By DonK from Colorado on 02/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The draw string is way too short. I cannot zip the jacket. I had to cut the draw string.
Pockets, pockets, pockets By Fisher Greg from Los Angeles, Ca. on 02/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Fishing, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The adjustable flex cord in the waist was a little bit of overkill with all the elastic in the back half of the jacket. I just removed it to make it comfortable and still snug. More pockets than you could shake a stick at. Gonna work great for Kayak Fishing.
By halissen from Winter Park FL on 02/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very high quality product. The only minus is that the rolled-up hood makes the collar somewhat thick and heavy. I expect this jacket to last many years.
