The week after I received it I had a chance to use it in the rain. I fished for hours wearing this jacket in a steady rain in 42 degree weather and I stayed warm and dry. Also, I absolutely love the cut of the jacket and the way it fits. Looks good and gives me amble mobility to move and cast. My wife likes the looks of it so much she suggested that I buy another one for casual wear and dedicate this one to fishing.

By Matt from Houston, TX on 06/06/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this as a jacket to wear while canoe paddling in northern Minnesota and Canada. It worked very well--the pockets are high on the chest, thus accessible while in the canoe; the fit was snug around the waist and sleeves, keeping out rain; it kept me warm; very roomy across the back, so it gave me ample room to move my arms while paddling; and lots of pockets. Waist might be a bit snug for some, but overall this was a great purchase. And it looks good, so after cleaning it I plan on using it as a casual rain jacket.
By CTShamrock from New England on 05/20/2008 Pros: Breathable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ridiculous number of pockets--very handy. Nice sleeve construction, handsome as casual wear in wet and damp weather. Well worth the price. Maybe a touch small in chest fit but very close. "Soft feel" fabric picks up lint easily but is very waterproof and warm.
